We use a program at the school during technology that your child has access to. However, we always recommend extra practice at home. Two great sites to use:

- IXL: (https://www.ixl.com/membership/family/pricing) IXL is an online practice program that reinforces the skills we learn in school. IXL has monthly or annual purchase options for families that start at $9.95/month. Memberships exist for math, language arts, or both. IXL’s adaptive questions automatically adjust to the right level of difficulty for your child which is beneficial for all types of learners.
- Front Row: Students automatically work on the Math, ELA, Social Studies and Science lessons that are perfect for them. That way, they are always engaged and challenged, never facing material that is too difficult or easy for them. Students will have a log-in and password provided from their homeroom teacher. https://www.frontrowed.com/
- Moby Max: Moby Max is a website that allows students to work on skills in Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science lessons. For math, students login and complete a pre-test. The pre-test determines what skills a particular student has mastered and what skills they need to keep practicing. This website offers students a chance to practice skills and concepts that is personally tailored to meet their individual learning needs. - Storyworks Magazine: To access this online resource you will need the code from your child’s ELA teacher. On this site your child can access non-fiction and fiction resources that we are using in class. The Storyworks site includes videos, vocabulary slides, audio versions of the stories, and more! https://storyworks.scholastic.com/

- Big Universe: Big Universe offers students a chance to explore a wide variety of e-books at various levels. Each book also offers opportunities for written responses and assessments. All Wake County students have access to this site. https://www.biguniverse.com/

- Book Adventure: Book Adventure is a free website that allows students to take quizzes on their read to self books as long as the books are Alignment Reader (AR) aligned. If you register as a parent, you can explore the site’s available book quiz library and students can pick a book based on that list. After your child finishes a book, they can take a quiz. Math Websites:
- Xtra Math - Xtra Math is a free, online resource for students to practice their fact fluency. Students can practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. Each student has their own account that needs to be accessed using their math teacher’s email address.
- Common Core Sheets - Common Core Sheets is a website with practice worksheets for every math skill we will be working on this school year. Refer to the 4th grade newsletter for the current skills/objectives your child is working on in their math class, search for that standard/objective, and select the worksheet that best fits your child’s additional practice needs.
- WCPSS Math Youtube Channel - WCPSS has created YouTube videos that explain/review the different strategies we teach your child in our math classes. Watching this videos with your child (especially as we learn different strategies for multiplication, division, and fractions) is a great way to reinforce the concepts being taught in class to help students with the conceptual understanding of various skills.
